1. Read the following text and after that, do the activities below.

a) Identify the verbs in simple present and write them down.


b) Identify the verbs in present continuous (Subject + TO BE + -ing verb).
c) Underline with green the time expressions that accompany the verbs in simple present.
d) Underline with blue the time expressions that accompany the verbs in present
continuous.

Every morning, I wake up early. I brush my teeth and wash my face. Then, I make breakfast - usually
cereal and orange juice. Right now, I'm eating my breakfast and watching TV. After that, I get dressed for
work. My neighbor is leaving for work too. We wave to each other. I walk to the bus stop and wait for the
bus. It's a sunny day today. After, the bus arrives, and I get on. I'm sitting next to a friendly old lady at this
moment. She smiles at me. The bus is moving slowly through the city streets now. Finally, we arrive at
my workplace
