Title of the Activity: BRIGADA ESKWELA 2023

Activity Objectives:

The Brigada Eskwela aims to:

a. to ensure a clean, safe, inclusive and child-friendly learning

environment for learners and teaching and non-teaching
personnel.
b. to strengthen resiliency of schools and basic education..
c. to bring together all education stakeholders to participate
and contribute their time, effort, and resources to prepare public
school facilities for the opening of the school year.

Narrative Report:

. Brigada Eskwela was held by the Department of Education this

year from August 14 to 19, 2023 (DepEd Memorandum No.062,s. 2022) with
the theme “Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan”. All parties involved in
the education system contributed their time, effort, and resources to make
sure that the school facilities were ready in time for the school
opening. Before the opening of the Brigada, the school principal and
teachers of Tulat Elementary School requested volunteers who would
participate in the brigada. Parents, barangay officials and other people

from the community were encouraged to join the month - long
annual program. Since Brigada Eskwela received no funding from the
government, private companies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Teachers who were eager, parents who were willing to help, children who
were excited for the opening of classes SELG officers, Military officers, and
other community members participated the program through Bayanihan
Spirit to attain the main purpose of the program which is to ensure a clean,
safe, inclusive and child-friendly learning environment for learners and
teachers as well. On the other hand, unexpected donations from generous
stakeholders were much appreciated.
