WRITTEN STATEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE RESPONDENT

TO THE DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE BY DECREE OF JUDICIAL SEPARATION
UNDER SECTION 10 OF THE HINDU MARRIAGE ACT

Most respectfully showeth,

1. Para 1 of the plaint is admitted. That the marriage was solemnized between the parties
according to Hindu rites and ceremonies on 24/11/2016 at Dharamsala in the presence
of family and relatives. That the said marriage is registered with the Registrar of
Marriage duly.

2. Para 2 of the plaint is admitted with reference to the age, residence and status of parties.

3. Para 3 of the plaint is admitted. That the parties have no children together.

4. Para 4 of the plaint is accepted in part and contested on the following: that the married
life of the parties was not harmonious as it was being expected upon marriage by the
respondent. That the respondent took measures above and beyond himself to provide
for and look after the petitioner but always came home to cribbing.

5. Para 5 is denied. That the respondent took efforts to resolve conflicts amicably but the
petitioner never cooperated. Continuous fights and arguments were picked up by the
petitioner and no resolution was to avail, so with the degrading state of affairs at his
home the respondent packed up and left for the ancestral home.

6. Additionally the respondent humbly presents that there was no intention of desertion
with respect to him, he seeks reconciliation but all the efforts have been so far snubbed
by the petitioner.
