SUBJECT: TERMINATION OF MR. BENJAMIN AVES JR., EXECUTIVE
ASSISTANT IV/MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATOR, TALAHIB MUNICIPAL
ENVIRONMENT RESOURCES OFFICER
In accordance with the powers vested upon the Municipal Mayor and guided by
relevant civil service laws, local government provisions, and Supreme Court
decisions, it is with regret that I hereby terminate the services of Mr. Benjamin
Aves Jr., as /EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT IV Municipal Administrator, and
TALAHIB/MENRO effective immediately.
Mr. Aves and TALAHIB served in the capacity of Executive assistant
IV/Municipal Administrator and MENRO, a co-terminous position/s or one serving
at the pleasure of the Municipal Mayor. Unfortunately, due to a demonstrated lack
of trust and confidence, it has become necessary to relieve them of their duties in
the best interest of the municipality.
The termination is in conformity with the relevant Civil Service Memorandum
Circulars supporting the termination of co-terminous positions or positions serving
at the pleasure of the appointing authority and as provided in the local government
code.
It is imperative to note that Mr. Benjamin Aves Jr. and Mr Talahib are no longer
authorized to act as a signatory for any municipal office. All concerned offices are
directed to update their records accordingly and to refrain from recognizing Mr.
Aves and Mr Talahib as signatories in any capacity.
This memorandum serves as official notice to all concerned offices, and copies are
to be distributed to the following:
-List concerned offices and individuals, such as the Human Resources Department,
Finance Department, and other relevant offices.
It is regrettable that such a decision had to be made, and we appreciate the
cooperation of all concerned parties in ensuring a smooth transition during this
period.
