Course Objectives:
The aim of this course is to provide students the necessary knowledge, skills and infrastructure
about the information systems used to make effective decisions in organizations. The students
will be able to identifies basic information systems and interprets their characteristics, explains
information storage environments, defines the role of information systems in businesses,
explains concepts of data mining and e-business, distinguishes between alternative information
system types.

Course Requirements:
There are 2 quizzes, one midterm exam, and final exam. The students are required to attend
the classes regularly to participate in discussions. Quizzes, Midterm and final exam will be
given in the Uzem system. All of the students must register and join the exams via Uzem
system. There is no make-up exam for the quizzes and the final exam. There can be make-up
exam for the midterm exam if only there is a health related issue that you provided necessary
documents for the proof.
