was not possible just for the colour of her skin, she went with the challenges and
rolled with the punches, she walked confidently and showed up twice as good as the
others in every casting

the front cover of British Elle, and worked steadily from then on, appearing in
magazines and on the catwalk in Paris, Milan, Japan, and New York for fashion
designers such as Alexander McQueen, Gianni Versace, Virgil Abloh, and Yves Saint
Laurent. Naomi became the first Black model to don the cover of British Vogue, to
ever appear on the cover of French Vogue and to cover star of the coveted September
issue of American Vogue.
