THE SILENT CRISIS

Limited access to clean drinking water in rural communities and

areas affected by natural disasters

Millions in India lack safe drinking water despite the country's water
resources. Uneven distribution and pollution leave 163 million vulnerable
to waterborne diseases, according to the World Bank. This crisis
disproportionately affects rural and low-income communities,
highlighting the need for innovative solutions like portable mycelium
filters.

MYCELIUM FILTER - BIOFILTRATION FOR CLEAN WATER

WHAT IS MYCELIUM?
Mycelium's web-like network can break down and absorb a variety of
pollutants, including organic matter, some bacteria, and even certain heavy
metals. Mycelium is the extensive network of thread-like filaments that grows
beneath the surface.
Mycelium FILTER harnesses the power of this natural bioremediation process to
create a sustainable solution for clean water.

1. Fast-growing, water-loving fungi form the filter's base.

2. They grow on a bed of agricultural waste like rice husks in reusable molds.
3. The self-assembling design clicks together for easy use.
4. Multiple filter layers, each with a purpose:
a. Denser top layer traps large particles.
b. Porous layers below capture bacteria and other contaminants.
c. Optional activated charcoal layer for extra filtration.
5. Water flows through, biodegrading pollutants with natural power!
