FARDAMI COMMUNITY DAY SECONDARY SCHOOL (FCDSSS)

SCHOOL REPORT PRESENTED AT THE 10TH MEETING OF GOVERNING BOARD (GB) FOR COMMUNITY
SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN RIMI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA (LGA) ON 31ST DECEMBER, 2023. BY THE
CHAIRMAN SCHOOL BASED MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE (SBMC).

INTRODUCTION

Fardami Community secondary school was established in 2019 with students enrollment of 72 students
drive from 9 village as catchment areas and the enrollment early this year was 311, later declined to 185
students strength.

It is located at Fardami "TS" Primary school as it's temporary site along Fardami, Rimi Road adjecent to
fardami primary Health Centre.

1.0 The table below shows the fardami community Secondary School students enrollment for both
Junior and Senior then male and female respectively.

2.0 MISSION/VISIONS

Having observed the non challent attitude of parents in the area on the status of the teaming
Adolescent age group (Primary School graduates) not proceeding to secondary school levels due to
either ignorance or poverty, coupled with distance hardship.The relavant stakeholders came up with the
idea of establishing the school.

-To provide easy means for the teaming age in the area to access secondary education.

-To enable the less previllage families in the community to have the opportunity to further from primary
to secondary education.

-To enhance proximity and reduce distance hardship for transportation.


3.0 STAFF ENROLLMENT

The school has 6 number of teaching Staff and 2 number of non teaching Staff making 8 competent
hands of Staff strength.

The two non teaching Staff includes the school's Bursar and an attendant.

4.0 ACHIEVEMENT

The school recorded remarkable achievement from inception to date:

These includes

- Registration with cooperate affairs (CAC)

- Approval to operate the junior secondary school level by the state ministry of education.

- Processing approval to operate senior secondary school accordingly.

- purchase of land for permanent site and the land is adqaute enough for good number of blocks of
classrooms, Admin block, laboratory, staff Quarters and athletic field among others.

- Workshops/Seminar attendance for the Staff efficiency and effectiveness.

- Prompt payment of Staff allowances and inceptives

- Cordial teacher, Students relationship.

5.0 CHALLENGES

1. In adqaute teaching staff (Science Teachers) to be specific.

2. In adequate seats for students and office furniture for staff.

3. Lack of portable drinking water.

4. In adqaute classrooms accomodation for students.

5. Failure of the students to comply with the stipulated time for school activities.

6. Un affordability to develop and relocate to permanent site.

7. Failure of parents to pay levy.

6.0 PRAYER

The GB should critically look into the challenges facing FCDSS and provide possible ways to overcome
the problems.

6.1 RECOMMENDATIONS
* The GB should Intervene by facilitating the AGILE for FCDSS Project.

*The GB should help the school by providing Science Teachers to fill in the gap.

*The GB should request From NGO' or Government to assist in providing portable drinking water to the
school.

*SBMC should collaborate with PTA to sensitize parents on the importance of paying school fee
promptly.
