How does Solar Hot Water Work?

The Solar Panels collect the suns heat and heats up the water in your house. This hot water can be used for domestic hot water or used for space heating. Hydronic inoor heating is the best way to heat your house with Solar, however the number of panels required to heat your house varies greatly depending on how well insulated your house is.

Why Solar Hot Water?

Reduce your exposure to the uctuations of Oil and Gas Prices. Help reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions and the Carbon Footprint of your business. Show your customers your commitment to the environment. Reduce your overall energy bills. Companies that demonstrate a concern for the environment separate themselves from the crowd as leaders for the future. Join the ever growing number of businesses that are concerned for the environment and thousands of other worldwide.

Protect yourself against future gas price rises

Oil and Gas supplies are becoming more scarce and expensive. The Peak 2008 Oil and Gas prices should act as a wake up call to everyone as to where the future prices will be.

Data from 1993 shows the following trends

1993 to Feb 2002 = 31% increase in price of gas. This is an average of 3.7 % per year. March 2002 to June 2008 = 253 % Increase in price of gas. This is an average of 40 % per year. This was the peak of the gas price in 2008. March 2002 to March 2009 = 63 % Increase in price of gas. This is an average of 10 % per year. Even after the recent collapse of the gas price it still results in a 10%. per year increase since 2002

SOLAR ENERGY
I'd put my money on solar energy, what a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait till oil and coal run out before we tackle that." ~ Thomas Edison, in conversation with Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone, March 1931

Millions of collectors installed......

Evacuated tube collectors have been used for decades around the world. Approximately 4.5 million square metres of solar collectors were installed in Europe in 2008 (approx 1 million new collectors).

Latitude51 Solar
Why Choose our Collectors?
Consider the following when selecting a Solar Hot Water System Increased Performance - SRCC Test results show that Evacuated Tube Collectors can produce up to 1200% (12 times) more heat than a Flat Plate collector can produce in cold and cloudy climates. Durability - High strength glass tubes. All-glass Tested to take strike from 30mm steel ball double-tube co-axial (resistance to hail stone test) structure Ease of Installation - Evacuated Tube Collectors consist of up to 30 individual tubes which can all be installed on the roof in pieces. No Cranes required. Also, as the tubes are round, they are less sensitive to the angle/direction of your roof. If your roof faces SW or SE, there is very little drop in power as the tubes passively track the sun as it moves through the day. Again more heat produced. Ease of Maintenance - Should any of the collector tubes be damaged, as each tube is installed separately, the system continues to work. The system can be repaired without having to drain down your heating system. Double-Vacuum Tube Design - This design means that as the Collector heats up and the climate gets colder (Winter in Canada!) then virtually no heat is lost back out to the air. This makes the tubes VERY efcient in Canadian climates. Hotter Water - The Tubes use a Heat Pipe to generate the heat (up to 245DegC). The heat pipe can heat the water to boiling point if necessary. More heat generated means fewer panels required to produce a given volume of water.

FREE SOLAR PANELS!

For Commercial Systems (Hotels, Car Wash, Swimming Pools, Restaurants etc) the cost we can sell these panels to you will more or less be covered ENTIRELY by the Grants you will receive. (Call for details) The Canadian Government ecoENERGY for Renewable Heat program will rebate over $1,000 for EVERY Latitude51 Solar Panel installed up to $400,000. Large commercial jobs take time to plan and install. These Incentives are only available until Until March 31st 2011. Dont delay, In effect, our panels are free. The install/piping tanks and controllers etc. still need to be paid for, but by eliminating the panel cost the Return on Investment on commercial Solar Systems becomes more attractive. These Evacuated Tube Solar Panels are ideally suited to the Canadian Climate. These can produce hot water even in Winter when the outside temperature is well below freezing. Because they are insulated from the cold, they work much more efciently than other types of Collectors.
