MEMORANDUM

SUBJECT : Spot Report on Confiscated Abandoned Undocumented Lumbers and

Conveyances (Violation of P.D. 705)

DATE : May 30, 2024

2. On May 30, 2024, at about 3:30AM, BCPS4 STOC received a phone call
from PSMS Jezrel B Dumas, intel operative of this station, states that he was able to
confiscate lumbers loaded in two motorcycles believed to be undocumented at Purok 1,
Barangay Sumilihon, Butuan City (approximate five (5) kilometers away from BCPS-4),
but the suspects were able to flee. Upon Receipt, Butuan City Police Station 4
personnel led by PMSg Rommel Payac Gongora proceed to the reported place to verify
the said report.
3. On May 30, 2024, at about 3:20 A.M., while PSMS Jezrel B Dumas was
conducting intel monitoring at the said place, he saw the two (2) suspects unloading
lumbers from their motorcycles (one (1) unit RUSI Macho FC-175 (Red) with engine
number RW162FMKJA023765, chassis number RWCLPK900GE011809; and one (1)
unit RUSI Macho FC-175 (Black) with engine number RF162FMKM56091896, chassis
number RFCPCLXJ9MB091896) believed to be undocumented outside PDN Stick and
Lumber Retailing owned by a certain Peter I Cadusale, that prompted him to verify. As
PSMS Jezrel B Dumas approached the suspects, the latter immediately ran away
leaving behind the said lumbers and conveyances.

4. Further, during the inspection made by the personnel of DENR in the person of
Ludiemar Felicano Sagay-Forest Ranger, it was found out that the confiscated lumbers
were Lauan, Hindang and Yakal species. The said confiscated lumbers were being
scaled by the personnel of DENR to determine the estimated volume and cost.
Furthermore, the confiscated lumbers including the conveyances were brought to
Butuan City Police Station 4 for proper disposition. Personnel of BCPS4 are still
conducting hot-pursuit operation for possible identification and apprehension of the
suspects.
