Beyond her academic pursuits, Maria enjoys working, golfing, shopping, and cherishing moments
with friends and family. Her years of experience in the food service industry as a server have not only
honored her interpersonal skills, but also instilled in her a profound appreciation for meaningful
connections with others. Originally from Kuwait, Maria treasures her cultural roots and finds fulfillment
in bridging linguistic barriers, especially by providing Arabic translation to those in need, ensuring
comfort and inclusivity, which she plans to do while working as a CNA.
Maria will be attending Jefferson Community College in the fall where she will pursue prerequisites for
the SUNY Broome Dental Hygiene Program. Inspired by dental hygienists and driven by a desire to
promote oral health, Maria aspires to make a positive impact in patients' lives through her future
endeavors in dental hygiene. We are proud to recognize Maria for her academic excellence,
character, and kindness. With excitement, we look forward to all that she will accomplish in the
future. Congratulations Maria!
