Valedictorian: Olivia Adsit


Congratulations to Olivia Adsit, daughter of David and Andrea
Adsit for her remarkable achievements! As Valedictorian of the
Alexandria Central School Class of 2024, Olivia has demonstrated
an exceptional commitment to academic excellence,
leadership, and community service. With a cumulative grade
point average of 97.59 and 53 college credits through Syracuse
University, SUNY Canton, and Jefferson Community College, she
has set an exceptional standard for her peers. Olivia will receive
the Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation with Honors
and Mastery in Math and Science. She has also earned her
CDOS Credential. Olivia was selected as a WWNY 7 News
Academic All-Star for 2024.
Olivia's involvement in various leadership positions within her
school community, including Treasurer roles in her class,
International Club, Vocal Music Program, and National Honor
Society, showcases her organizational skills and dedication to
serving others. Not only has Olivia excelled academically, but she
has also showcased her talents in various extracurricular
activities. Her talent as a performer and singer, highlighted by
lead roles in musical productions and recognition as the 7 News Arts All-Star in 2023, speaks to her creativity and
artistic abilities. She also scored a 100 on a level 6 NYSSMA solo and participated in All State & All-Eastern.
Olivia has received Honor Roll with Principal's Distinction every quarter. Olivia has won numerous academic
awards and scholarships such as the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medal, the Rochester Institute of
Technology Women in STEM Scholarship, the University of Rochester Bausch & Lomb Scholarship, the Wilkes
University Emerging Leader Scholarship, Russell Sage College Scholarship, SUNY Cortland Presidents Scholarship,
Student of the Month, PRIDE Award, Leadership Award, and Excellence in Chorus, Science, Math, and French.
Olivia is active in the local community. Her community service includes, but is not limited to; Backpack Club,
River Santa, Athletic Booster Club, TI Half Marathon, Plessis Cemetery Clean Up, and gift wrapping at the
Holiday Store.
Olivia will be attending SUNY Cortland in the fall to study Adolescent Education with a concentration in
Chemistry. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree she plans to continue on to her master's in education and
work in a school as a Chemistry Teacher. We are proud to recognize Olivia for her academic excellence,
character, and volunteerism. With excitement, we look forward to all that she will accomplish in the future.

Salutatorian: Brady Carpenter

Congratulations to Brady Carpenter, son of Jeff and Kim


Carpenter, for his remarkable achievements! As
Salutatorian of the Alexandria Central School Class of 2024,
he has demonstrated exceptional commitment to
academic excellence, leadership, and teamwork.
With a cumulative grade point average of 94.25 and 36
college credits through Syracuse University, SUNY Canton,
and Jefferson Community College, he has challenged
himself throughout his high school career. Brady will receive
the Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation and
Mastery in Science. He has also earned his CDOS
Credential.

Brady has received Honor Roll with Principal's Distinction


nearly every quarter in high school. He has been a member
of the National Honor Society since 10th grade. Brady has
won numerous academic awards and scholarships such as the Rochester Institute of Technology
Business & Leadership Scholarship, the University of Rochester G.E Scholarship, the Wilkes University
Emerging Leader Scholarship, the Clarkson Leadership Scholarship, the SUNY Oswego President’s
Scholarship, Student of the Month, the Leadership Award, and Excellence in Science and Math.

Brady is highly involved in athletics and has been on the Varsity Soccer, Basketball, and Golf Teams
since 9th grade. He was chosen as co-captain for Soccer, Basketball, and Golf this year. He has
earned several recognitions including Frontier League All-Star for Soccer and Basketball, and the
Wayne Farrell Sportsmanship Award. Brady is also active in the local community. His community
service includes, but is not limited to; Backpack Club, I Love My River Day, and gift wrapping at the
Holiday Store.

Brady will be attending SUNY Oswego in the fall to study Business and Marketing. After receiving his
Bachelor’s degree he plans to get a job in his field of study and become an entrepreneur. We are
proud to recognize Brady for his academic excellence, character, and leadership. With excitement,
we look forward to all that he will accomplish in the future. Congratulations Brady!

Outstanding Vocational Leader: Maria Panunzio

Congratulations to Maria Panunzio, daughter of Eric Panunzio


and Linda Alsbaiei for her remarkable achievements! As the
Outstanding Vocational Leader of the Alexandria Central School
Class of 2024, Maria has demonstrated an exceptional
commitment to vocational excellence, leadership, and
resilience. Maria has earned a cumulative grade point average
at the Bohlen Technical Center Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Program of 93 and an overall average of 89.36. Maria has
earned the Honor Roll with Principal’s Distinction while attending
BOCES. Maria will receive the Regents Diploma and CDOS
Credential.

Maria’s engagement in the CNA program at BOCES has been


nothing short of exemplary. From rotations at Samaritan Hospital
to her successful completion of the NYS Prometric for
Certification as a Nursing Assistant, Maria has seized every
opportunity for growth and learning. Notably, her recent inductions into the National Honor Society
and the National Technical Honor Society further attest to her exceptional merit and dedication to
excellence.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Maria enjoys working, golfing, shopping, and cherishing moments
with friends and family. Her years of experience in the food service industry as a server have not only
honored her interpersonal skills, but also instilled in her a profound appreciation for meaningful
connections with others. Originally from Kuwait, Maria treasures her cultural roots and finds fulfillment
in bridging linguistic barriers, especially by providing Arabic translation to those in need, ensuring
comfort and inclusivity, which she plans to do while working as a CNA.

Maria will be attending Jefferson Community College in the fall where she will pursue prerequisites for
the SUNY Broome Dental Hygiene Program. Inspired by dental hygienists and driven by a desire to
promote oral health, Maria aspires to make a positive impact in patients' lives through her future
endeavors in dental hygiene. We are proud to recognize Maria for her academic excellence,
character, and kindness. With excitement, we look forward to all that she will accomplish in the
future. Congratulations Maria!
