in 2004.
The bar chart illustrates the annual salaries of doctors and other employees in
seven countries in 2004, measured in thousands of US dollars.
Doctors were paid more than other workers in all 7 countries, with the United
States having the highest pay for both professions compared to other countries.
Doctors in France and Switzerland received the same amount of money, which was
70 thousand dollars. There were some small differences in the income of doctors in
Italy, the Czech Republic, and Germany, with a variance of about 2 or 3 thousand
dollars. On the other hand, American doctors were paid exactly 120 thousand US
dollars, which is almost triple the salary of Finnish doctors.
The wage for Italian, Czech, and German labor force members was 20 thousand
dollars, regardless of their nationality. French and Finnish workers were paid 30
and 25 thousand dollars per year, respectively. Switzerland offered the highest
salary of 40 thousand dollars, while employees in the United States earned 5
thousand dollars more than their Swiss counterparts.
