To the Dean of the College of Engineering, Engr./Dr. Amy

Gonzales, the Associate Dean, Department Chairpersons,
faculty, non-teaching staff and personnel, good morning!
On behalf of the Bicol University President, who regrets
not being with you today, I am here to convey his profound
thanks and commendations to your college, especially the
newly registered electrical engineers and master
electrician.
Today, is the day when all your hard work and your
family’s sacrifices have been validated. It’s the day when
your mentors’ push and motivation – and all those years of
academic preparation – have finally, borne fruit in the
sweetest way.
Your dream has come true. Your life from hereon will
become as interesting as you want it to be. But do take
note that, cliché as it may sound, a great responsibility
comes with your new-found power and competence.
Hold on to your dream. Do everything from now as
humanely excellent as possible, and with integrity in your
profession.
Thank you for your great performance that brought us to
being the second ranked Best Performing School in the
country.
This is a great gift of God to you and to the Bicol
University family – especially the College of Engineering.
