SF 6-gas circuit-breaker type LTB 145D1/B
DESCRIPTION
The SF6-gas circuit breaker type LTB145D1/B is of the auto-puffer type intended for use in
conventional open air switchyards.
A complete three-phase circuit-breaker consists of three breaker poles, connected to a common
operating device through mechanical linkages. The operating device is provided with shunt releases
for closing and opening operation and has motor-charged closing spring for closing of the circuit-
breaker.
During the closing operation the opening spring is charged.
The breaker pole consists of a breaking unit with two main circuit terminals, a hollow support insulator
enclosing the insulating rod and a link gear in a housing of cast aluminum. The circuit- breaker poles
can alternatively be mounted on separate base frames or on a common pole beam.
The breaking unit consists of a breaking chamber insulator with upper and lower terminals. To the
upper terminal the current path with the fixed contacts is connected and to the lower terminal a
current path with the moving contacts.
The moving contacts are connected to the linkage system in the mechanism housing through an
insulating rod.
