The design of one-way slab floor

 The conditions: A cast-in-place reinforced concrete floor of a multi-storey conference room
building, has the slab thickness of 80mm and a design service life of 50 years. The
characteristic value of live load on the floor is 3.0kN/m2. The floor plane layout is shown in
the figure. The structural safety level is level 2, and the environmental category is Level 1.

 Requirement: To design the roof structure.

 Assume: The ratio of the linear stiffness of the beam to the column is greater than 5, and the
ratio of the linear stiffness of the main beam to the secondary beam is greater than 8.

 Floor approach: Floor tile surface: 1.2kN/m2. The bottom and sides of the floor are plastered
with 20mm thick mixed mortar.

Materials: Concrete: C30, Reinforcements in beam and slab: HRB 400.
