linked to a longer life. In contrast, loneliness and social
isolation are linked to poorer health, depression, and increased risk of
early death. Studies have found that having a variety of social relationships
may help reduce stress and heart-related risks.

There are five main aspects of personal health: physical, emotional, social,
spiritual, and intellectual. In order to be considered "well," it is imperative
for none of these areas to be neglected. The Health and Wellness Educators (HAWES)
want to inform you, the student, of ways to maximize your personal wellness.

It is a child's ability to form secure relationships with others and develop trust
so that they can feel safe to explore and learn. This ability is closely connected
to
their emotional regulation skills. For adults, social health also includes the
networks
and social support structures we have around us.
