VISITOR’S POLICY

 Security should enter the personal details of visitor in the


visitor register and should note down the details of persons.
 Security guard will confirm the identity of the visitor with
the concerned person and will direct him to the designated
visiting area and thereafter it will be the responsibility of
the concerned person.
 Visitor should fill and sign the self declaration form at
plant entry to confirm that he/she is free of any communicable
disease and understand the policy.
 Use of tobacco, chewing gums and other eatables are strictly
prohibited.
 Photography inside company premises is strictly prohibited.
 Security Guard should ensure that visitors do not carry any
sharp objects, medicines or chemicals inside the company
premises and should deposit such things at the main Security
gate.
 Security Guard should ensure that visitors with open wounds
and poor hygiene are not allowed inside the company premises.
 Concern In-charge should ensure that visitors removes
Jewellery, watches etc. before entering the production area.

MATERIAL POLICY

 Any material brought into production area and related areas


for maintenance or engineering procedures should be safely
kept in a corner during the work-in-progress.
 Try operating when the areas are not functional.
 All equipment; which may contribute to physical hazards like
plastic, wood or metal made material (nails, screws, scales
etc.) should be collected and taken back by the associate
doing the work.

 The area should then be inspected by him and the area in-
charge.

GLASS POLICY

Glass in this policy refers to hard, brittle material, such as


those used for windows, eyewear, wall clock glass, excluding the
glass on the fire extinguisher/ alarm/hose boxes.

 Glass usage as construction material of doors and windows must


be completely restricted.
 In case, glass is already used as construction material for
the door, windows, shelves, the glass must be layered with
shatter proof films to avoid accidental chipping or breakage
of glass that increases the probability of contamination.
 Glass material of eye glass (spectacles), wall clocks must
also be unbreakable preferably of fiber material.
 Lights used in the areas under the scope of this policy must
be covered with unbreakable transparent material like acrylic.
 Lights covers used in Production and storage area must be
unbreakable.
 Cracked or chipped glass must not be used anywhere under the
scope of this policy.
 Standard Operating Procedure, in case of breakage of glass:
 Cordon off (approx 5 ft) area immediately to prevent spread of
glass fragment to distance.

a. Wear personal protective equipments (rubber gloves) and


clear the breakage in dust bin. Precaution: DO NOT
HANDLE BROKEN GLASS WITH BARE HANDS. WEAR RUBBER
GLOVES.
b. Remove movable equipment from the area and thoroughly
wash the equipments.
c. Wash the shelves in radius of 5 ft periphery of the
incident.

d. Wash all the equipments placed in 5 ft radius of the


breakage incident.
e. Do not broom the area, as the fragments may stick in
the broom and spread to other areas. Directly wash off
the area.
