Location of the flat The house “Exner” has a direct bus connection to the university; you can reach
the campus within 15‐20 minutes. To get to the bus stop you must walk only 5
minutes, the bus comes every 20 minutes and needs about 10 minutes to reach
the campus. There is a bin supermarket (Markt‐Kauf) and a medical center only
few minutes to walk. The old center of Hof is 10 minutes to walk.
Features oft he flat In the shared flat for three students there are a kitchen with a small room for
storage and a small balcony, a bathroom, a small floor and 3 separate sleeping
rooms.
 The kitchen has some basic kitchen‐utilities.
 Your bed has only a mattress. You will need blanket, pillow, and bedclothes.
You can buy your bedding in Hof for about 50 Euros complete.

Procedure of the reservation:

1. You inform the Housing Office about your desired accommodation by email to:
housing@hof‐university.de! You must clearly mention the address of the house, and the
description of the flat and the room number or room category
2. After your booking, your data will be forwarded to your landlord.
3. The landlord confirms us if the room is available. Until we receive confirmation by the
landlord, your booking is pending.
4. The landlord will inform you about deadlines and bank data for the first payment.
5. You must sign the PDF of the rental agreement and return it to the landlord by email.
6. You must arrange the first payment: 1 monthly rent and the security deposit.
When all steps are done, your booking is fix, you can be sure, that the room will not be given
to any other student for rent.

The first payment consists of the first month´s rent and the security deposit and must be done
before you move in.
Security deposit: The security deposit must be paid to the landlord, and you will get it back from
him/her sometime after your rental contact ended. It can take more than 6 months until you receive
the money. If you cause damages, you do not return the room clean and empty, you had an
overconsumption of energy or not all the rent were paid the security deposit will be reduced.
