Former President Donald J. Trump was found guilty on Thursday of all 34 felony counts of
falsifying business records, related to the reimbursement of hush money paid to the porn star
Stormy Daniels to cover up a sex scandal around the 2016 presidential election. The first U.S.
president to be convicted of a crime, Mr. Trump is likely to appeal the verdict by the
Manhattan jury. His sentencing is scheduled for July 11.
The 34 counts fell into three categories: 11 related to invoices from Michael D. Cohen, his
former fixer who paid Ms. Daniels; 11 related to checks signed by Mr. Trump or using his
funds to repay Mr. Cohen; and 12 related to accounting records made for the reimbursements
in Mr. Trump’s books.
