I. Compliance with Regulation
1. Conform to performance of BS 5368 on the following test and all the
performance test reports shall be submitted with professional engineer
(P.E) endorsement :-
a. Part 1 - Air leakage test to MS 832 requirement (positive test pressure
of 200 pascals)
b. Part 2 - Water tightness test MS 1017 requirement (positive test pressure
of 300 pascals)
c. Part 3 - Structural load test
2. Horizontal lateral loading of no less than
1.5kN/m2 for spandrel glazing/ railing to P.E endorsement.
3. Where full height glass wall is provided to an area which overlooks any
sunken area, void, air-well, courtyard or external open space with a
drop of more than 1000mm, such full height glass wall shall be
protected with a railing or other barrier of not less than 900mm height.

The horizontal and lateral load on such railing or barrier shall be
designed with no less than 1.5kN/M.
4. All aluminium louvre below 1100mm to withstand lateral load 1.5kN/M
with P.E endorsement.
II. Specification
1. Gasket to glass - Santoprene gasket for internal glazing

4. Sub-Frame - 25mm X 25mm X 12mm X 1.2mm thk aluminium
sub-frame c/w galvanized iron strap (1.0mm thk)

IV. Warranty
1. Successful sub-contractor shall produce in writing, upon completion of

used is to be mentioned in this letter).

2. The warranty letter shall be accompanied by individual letter from
individual manufacturer or supplier.
3. The warranty letter shall be addressed to the owners/ developers,
the Architects and the quantity surveyors.
4. As-Built drawings shall be submitted with Professional Engineer
