Technical Overview

Approach:
Changes in the existing standard Online Message for Negotiation report. Requirement was to display the Latest
closed date and time of the negation in the Online message notification sent to the Buyer which was previously
showing the old “Days after open” in the respective notification.

Implementation Steps

The required changes were done in the data model and the layout needs to be updated in the data model to reflect the
changes made.
We have done the testing for a negotiation with closed date given as “Open after days” and extended the closed date.
After the changes are made, the notification is now reflecting the date for the closed date field and reflects the latest
extended date.
Testing is done for negotiation with fixed closed date, this notification also displays the closed date and time as
required.

1. Unarchive the data model in the below given path:

File Name: OnlineMessagesNotificationDataModel.xdm.catalog

Path: /Shared Folders/Custom/Procurement/Sourcing/Data Model

2. Unarchive the Report file in the below given path:

File Name: OnlineMessagesNotificationReport.xdo.catalog

Path: /Shared Folders/Custom/Procurement/Sourcing/Online Messages Notification Report

3. Link the Data Model to the above Report(Online Messages Notification Report).

4. Change the BIP Refresh Time to 1 Minute to make the above changes effective instantly as given below.

Setup and Maintenance > Manage Administrator Profile Values and set the following profile options as
below:

BIP_CLIENT_REFRESH_TIME ==> set it to 1
