Subject: Initial Production and Supply Control.


1.0 TITLE : Process for Initial Supply Control

2.0 PURPOSE : To effectively monitor, control processes necessary to produce &


processing of Initial Product during initial supplies for defined period

3.0 DEFINATION : Initial production is defined as the lots manufactured after


PPAP approval ( 3 Months or quantity defined by Customer or 10,000
quantity whichever is later ). This lots are manufactured as per Initial
production supply control Plan where all controls are Stricter (double) as
against production control plan. Sample size and frequency are kept double
than production control plan. The Root-cause analysis on defect observed
during IPSC do immediately and corrective, preventive Action will be taken
within 48 hours depend upon required correction.
Target during IPSC should be less than / 50 % target of serial Production. If
similar part is not available then target for IPSC will be decided by CFT
Member.

Plant Head are responsible for start and stop of Initial production &
supply control.

Input in Initial production Supply Control plan will be followed


under :-
1) Raw material verification lot wise per Batch code – TPI Report/
analysis.
2) Set up Approval – 5 pieces per cavity.
3) Inprocess Inspection – At Injection Moulding stage after every 2
hours process parameter and 5 pieces per cavity after every 2 hours.
4) Visual Inspection at Final Stage – 200% by Final Inspector.
5) PDIR – As per sampling plan.
6) Process Audit – Monthly as per Process audit plan. Closure of all NC
will be immediately
7) SPC Study – Monthly for SC,CC. Cpk min 1.33.If Cp, Cpk not
achieved during IPSC 200 % inspection will be carried for SC,CC
parameter. for SC ,CC parameter checking use only variable gauges
during IPSC.
Cp, Cpk trend should be increasing order during Initial production & supply
control stage.

3.0 SCOPE:
Applicable to all products which are under initial supply in following
condition:
1) New Product Development -3 Months / 10,000 nos
2) Engineering /Design Change - 3 Months / 5000 nos
3) Mold Duplication – 3 Months / 10,000 nos
4) Location Change – 3 Months / 5000 nos
5) Material Change – 2 Months / 5000 nos
6) Process Sequence Change – 1 Months / 2500 nos
7) Machine Change – 1 Months / 2500 nos

4.0 OBJECTIVE: Safe guard the customer from Defect.
