COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will expose students with a thorough background on


financial management which includes taxation and depreciation
methods. Students will apply the financial tools and techniques,
calculate and analyze financial data for decision making. Lecture
sessions employ a mixture of lectures and tutorials. The outcomes shall
be assessed through case study and simulation including traditional
paper examination.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
1. Apply the financial concepts and theoryof financial management.

2. Demonstrate numerical skills through investigation of the financial


statements from a decision maker’s perspective. (PLO16) (A3)

3. Demonstrate leadership, autonomy and responsibility by utilizing the


relevant financial management tool in the financingand investment
