The RHIB variant of the C-AT intercom system is tailored to the operational requirements and
environment of a small boat crew and supporting land warriors.

Distinguishing characteristics of the AMCVIS/RHIB intercom system:

 “Party-line” intercom for Commander, Driver, Gunner, and two additional RHIB crew members
or “customers.”

 Interface to two radios with all crew members. Crew able to select to monitor one or both
radios and independently set listening levels of radios and intercom.

 All crew members are able to independently select between transmit radios.

 The radios can be connected to one another, permitting dismounted personnel access to the
second radio (i.e.: multi-band, tactical radio (PRC-117) to an over-the-horizon TACSAT
transceiver (PSC-5D) or an HF radio (PRC-150).

 Crewman interface (ICU) to intercom and radio is a small, rugged, clip-on assembly with volume
controls, intercom P-T-T, radio P-T-T, and radio select, and TJ-101 headset jack. Wearable design
permits easy-of-access and user mobility.

 The footprint of a RHIB intercom/radio controller (IMU) is only 11.5” (L) x 1.8” (H) x 5.9” (D) . All
connectors are water-proof.

 Compatible with electret condenser or dynamic microphones.
