Seven rules for Seven Symbols of Roman numerals : -

 When a symbols is repeated in succession, its value gets added .


 No symbol can be repeated more than 3 times .
 Symbols I , X , C and M can only be repeated.
 The symbols V, L and D are never subtracted and never repeated.
 The symbol I can be subtracted only once from V and X.
 The symbol X can be subtracted only once from L and C.
 The symbol C can be subtracted only once from D and M.
