1. Find the surface area of a chalk box whose length, breadth and height are 16 cm, 8 cm
and 6 cm, respectively.

2. Find the amount of water displaced by a solid spherical ball of diameter 28 cm.
28 सेमी व्यास की एक ठोस गोलाकार गेंद द्वारा विस्थापित पानी की मात्रा ज्ञात कीजिये।

3. If the radius of the base of a right circular cylinder is halved, keeping the height same,
what is the ratio of the volume of the reduced cylinder to that of the original one?
यदि एक समकोण वृत्ताकार बेलन के आधार की त्रिज्या को आधा कर दिया जाता है, तो ऊं चाई समान रखते हुए, घटे हुए बेलन के आयतन और मूल

4. A classroom is 7 m long, 6.5 m wide and 4 m high. It has one door 3 m × 1.4 m and
three windows each measuring 2 m × 1 m. The interior walls are to be colour-washed.
The contractor charges Rs. 15 per square metre. Find the cost of colour washing.
एक कक्षा का कमरा 7 मीटर लंबा, 6.5 मीटर चौड़ा और 4 मीटर ऊं चा है। इसका एक दरवाजा 3 मीटर × 1.4 मीटर है और तीन खिड़कियां प्रत्येक
2 मीटर × 1 मीटर मापती हैं। आंतरिक दीवारों को रंग-धोया जाना चाहिए। ठेके दार 15 रुपये प्रति वर्ग मीटर के हिसाब से शुल्क लेता है। रंग धोने की
लागत ज्ञात कीजिए।

5. The height of a cone is 21 cm. Find the area of the base if the slant height is 28 cm.
The diameter of a metallic ball is 4.2 cm. What is the mass of the ball, if the metal
weighs 8.9 g per ?
एक शंकु की ऊं चाई 21 सेमी है। यदि तिरछी ऊं चाई 28 सेमी है, तो आधार का क्षेत्रफल ज्ञात कीजिये। एक धात्विक गेंद का व्यास 4.2 सेमी है। यदि
धातु है, तो गेंद का द्रव्यमान क्या है? वजन 8.9 ग्राम प्रति है?

6. A well with 10 m inside diameter is dug 8.4 m deep. Earth taken out of it is spread all
around it to a width of 7.5 m to form an embankment. Find the height of the
embankment.
10 मीटर अंदर व्यास वाला एक कु आं 8.4 मीटर गहरा खोदा जाता है। इसमें से निकाली गई पृथ्वी चारों ओर फै ली हुई है। इसके चारों ओर एक तटबंध
बनाने के लिए 7.5 मीटर की चौड़ाई तक। तटबंध की ऊं चाई ज्ञात कीजिये ।

7. A plot of land in the form of a rectangle has a dimension 240 m 180 m. A drainlet 10
m wide is dug all around it (on the outside) and the earth dug out is evenly spread
over the plot, increasing its surface level by 25 cm. Find the depth of the drainlet.
एक आयत के रूप में भूमि के एक भूखंड का आयाम 240 मीटर 180 मीटर है। एक नाली 10 इसके चारों ओर (बाहर की ओर) मीटर चौड़ा खोदा
