PROCEDURE

1. Connect the circuit as per figure 1.

2. Apply Vcc of +12V DC.
3. Give a 1 KHz signal to 20mV (p-p) as Vs.
4. Observe the output on CRO for proper working of the amplifier.
5. After ensuring the amplifier function, vary signal frequency from 50Hz to 600 KHz in
proper steps for 15 to 20 readings. Keeping Vs=20 mV(p-p) at every frequency, note
down the resulting output voltage and tabulate in tabular form.
6. Calculate gain in db and plot on semi log graph proper frequency Vs gain in dB.
7. Draw a 3 db line on the graph and find the amplifier bandwidth.

To find input resistance: Ri

1. Keep Vs=20 mV(p-p), 1KHz, observe the output for proper amplification.
2. Without disturbing the setup, note Vi from the circuit.
3. Now Ii = (Vs- Vi)/Rs then Ri=Vi/Ii.

To find output resistance: Ro

1. Apply Vs=20m V(p-p), 1KHz signal and note Vo.

2. Without disturbing the setup, vary DRB value such that amplifier output drops to V0/2
value of the previous Vo.
3. Then R0 is the value of the DRB resistance.
