FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS ON THE POWERPOINT (PPT)

■ GENERAL HINTS ON THE PPT SLIDE FORMAT [Formato de las Diapositivas]:

Each Slide should have these four components: Headline, Sub-headline, Image and Text

(1) Each Headline (or Title): corresponds to a Main Point of the Body (2.1., 2.2. & 2.3.)

(2) Each Sub-headline (or Subtitle): corresponds to a Subpoint of the Body (2.1.1., etc.)

(3) Image/s: must be thematically pertinent and all-audiences-friendly

(4) Text: should be provided in the form of 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 bullets (per SLIDE).

Important: A Bulleted Point may consist of a collocation or short non-finite


sentence (with a non-personal verb form).

EXAMPLES:
YES -► Empathy-based talk with students <collocation>
YES -► Teaching with empathy <short non-finite sentence>
NO -► Teachers must teach with empathy… [Do avoid personal verb forms]

■ TEXT FORMAT CHARACTERISTICS:


(1) Each bullet or bulleted point should not be longer than one line (if possible)
(2) Avoid writing paragraphs in your PPT slides
(3) Paragraphs are only permitted in quotations (someone’s literally words)

■ NUMBER OF SLIDES:

(1) Two slides per minute (11 SLIDES from the first to the last slide).

(2) Note: One slide per subpoint (if possible) (2.1.1., 2.1.2., 2.2.1., 2.2.2., 2.3.).

■ ABBREVIATED OUTLINE (ONLY TO INCLUDE MAIN BODY POINTS 2.1., 2.2.,


2.3.):

- The Intro should have two slides: your Thesis (1st slide) and Outline (2nd slide)

- The Outline should be abbreviated into the Main Points 2.1., 2.2. & 2.3.
