PURPOSE OF THE VISTI:

Our visit to Trichy Ceramics Pvt Ltd., was primarily aimed at gaining
insights into the manufacturing process of fly ash bricks. The
company is located along Chennai National Highways in Konalai,
Trichy District.
I learned lot of things about fly ash bricks and their non-polluting
manufacturing process in the field. I learned may historical
backgrounds about the fly ash bricks.

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

The Proprietor of this company is MR. SWARNAMANI. Trichy

Ceramics Pvt Ltd is a leading player in the construction materials
industry. The company specializes in the production of eco-friendly
fly ash bricks that are known for their durability and environmental
sustainability. MR. SWARNAMANI explained us about the situation
of this industry during the Pandemic and also after the Pandemic.
KEY OBSERVATIONS

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

During the visit, we observed the entire manufacturing process of fly

ash bricks. The process involves the mixing of fly ash, cement, M-
sand and other additives, followed by a hydraulic press molding. This
was an informative experience, providing us with a clear
understanding of the production cycle.

QUALITY CONTROL:

The company places significant emphasis in quality control. We saw

the various tests and checks performed to ensure that each brick meets
industry standards. This commitment to quality was truly impressive.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS:

Trichy Ceramics Pvt Ltd., is dedicated to environmentally responsible

practices. The utilization of fly ash, a byproduct of thermal power
plants, as a raw material for brick production is a sustainable approach
to waste management and contributes to reducing the environmental
footprint.
MARKET REACH:

The company’s products are distributed across a wide market, and

they cater to the growing demand for sustainable building materials.
The visit also included a brief overview of their distribution network
and market presence. MR. SWARNAMANI told that they were
exporting the fly ash bricks for more that five countries. And he also
told that during those days they were the only exporter of this fly ash
bricks to the countries like Tunisia, Iraq and etc.

SAFETY MEASURES:

The company maintains strict safety measures throughout the

production facility. We were pleased to see that safety regulations
were diligently followed, ensuring the well-being of employees.
As this fly ash will create problem like allergies to the human beings
many were wearing hand glows and mask to ensure their safety.
CONCLUSION

Our visit to Trichy Ceramics Pvt Ltd., was both informative and
inspiring. We gained valuable insights into the production of fly ash
bricks and how this sustainable approach can benefit that construction
industry and the environment. The company’s dedication to quality,
sustainability, and safety is commendable and serves as an excellent
example for younger generation like us.
