In not more than one (1) page, think about any small dataset of your choice of size 12. Use any
statistical technique to analyze those data and give out the appropriate interpretation.
Let’s consider a small data set of 12 students, and their corresponding scores on science test. Here are
the scores in number particular order;75,83,92,68,89,78,85,76,91,80,87, and 79. calculate mean, mode,
median and range

(i)Mean =sum of observation ÷number of observation =∑x/n =

(75+83+92+68+89+78+85+76+91+80+87+79) ÷12=81.92

(ii) Mode is a value which occurs most frequently in the given distribution.

Therefore in that data set there is no score that occurs more than once,so there is no mode.

(iii)Median is a middle value of the given distribution when arranged in ascending or descending order.

Median; 68,75,76,78,79,80,83,85,87,89,91, and 92 = (80+83)÷ 2=81.5

(iv) Range = Highest score data -Lowest score data

=92-68=24.
