Tacna-Perú

2024
Insertion.-
The yellow-tailed monkey (mono choro de cola amarilla) is a species
of primate that inhabits the Peruvian rainforest.
Hábitat.-
The yellow-tailed howler monkey is a species of howler monkey
found in several areas of northern Peru, mainly in regions of
rainforest and humid forests. These areas include the amazon river
basin and its tributaries, as well as the lowland jungle and
mountainous regions.
In particular, they can be found in the Peruvian amazon region,
including departments such as loreto, San Martin, amazonas,
ucayali and part of cajamarca and huanuco
Diet.-
The yellow-tailed choro monkey feeds mainly on fruits, leaves,
flowers and seeds. Its diet may vary depending on the season and
the availability of food in its habitat. Occasionally, they also consume
insects, bird eggs, and small vertebrates. They spend most of the
day looking for food in the trees and on the forest floor. They are
herbivorous animals, meaning they do not eat meat and rely on
plant sources to meet their nutritional needs.
Reasons for the extinction.-
• Loss of habitat due to deforestation and agricultural
expansion.
• Habitat fragmentation due to road construction and urban
development.
• Illegal hunting for the trade in exotic pets.
• Human disturbance in its natural habitat, such as unregulated
ecotourism.
• Environmental pollution, including water and air pollution.
• Climate change and its effects on food availability and habitat
of yellow-tailed woolly monkey.
• Predation by introduced animals, such as domestic dogs and
cats.
Recommendation.-
Let's take care of the environment to preserve the existence of the
different species that inhabit our beloved Peru and so our country is
much more diverse in flora and fauna.
