Experience the stunning panoramic views of Bowness-on-Windermere from atop Brant Fell.
Although climbing up the steep and sometimes muddy path can be challenging, the views from the
top are breathtaking, making it all worth it. The walk starts from the centre of Bowness, along
Brantfell Road, and ends at the summit of Brant Fell. Along the way, you'll visit the little viewpoint of
Post Knott before descending back to the shops along Helm Road. We recommend allowing an hour
minimum, but it's best to set aside a couple of hours to enjoy this walk fully.

Boating: Lake Windermere Canoe and Kayak (15 Min walk)

Take a short walk to Low Wood Bay Watersports Centre and explore Lake Windermere in a unique
way. Hire a kayak or canoe and explore the stunning shoreline of Windermere. With free parking on-
site, you can enjoy this activity for as long as you like.

Windermere Lake Cruises, Bowness (8 minute walk)

No visit to Bowness would be complete without a trip on the Windermere Lake Cruises. Embark on a
scenic journey across Windermere and take in the stunning towns of Bowness-on-Windermere and
Ambleside. With four different routes to choose from, you can enjoy the freedom of the lake with a
24-hour ticket or choose specific routes. Passengers can explore Lakeside, Wray Castle, Brockhole,
and other stops. Don't miss the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, Lakeland Motor Museum, The
Lakes Aquarium, and The World of Beatrix Potter near our stop-off points.

Graze is a small and independent coffee shop and kitchen in Bowness. The restaurant prides itself
on creating deliciously different dishes using only the highest quality products. All dishes are
prepared fresh to order, ensuring every customer gets a unique experience that can't be found
elsewhere.

Graze operates as a two-person team, which means they can't offer fast food but do their best to
serve customers as quickly as possible. The restaurant's relaxed environment is perfect for those
looking to enjoy a leisurely meal or catch up with friends. However, customers should be aware that
some dishes may sell out during busy periods, and Graze cannot take reservations or cater to large
groups or customers with multiple or severe allergies.

Boardwalk Bar & Grill is a restaurant that offers stunning lake views. The restaurant's friendly and
relaxed atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family, and dogs are welcome on
the outdoor terrace or indoors on the ground floor.

PLACES TO VISIT

The World of Beatrix Potter (7-min walk)

The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction is a must-visit for fans of the beloved author's work. Operated
by Lakes Story Ltd, the attraction first opened its doors in 1991 and has since grown to include a
theatre, gift shop, nursery shop, and more. The attraction's crowning jewel is the Chelsea Flower
Show gold medal-winning Peter Rabbit Garden, which features heritage vegetables, flowers, and

by Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott, this Grade I listed building is one of the finest examples of Arts &
Crafts architecture in the UK. It embraces traditional craft skills and is inspired by the natural world,
standing as a testament to the artistry of the early 20th century. Visitors will be impressed by the
immaculate furniture and beautiful decorative flourishes in the house.

Windermere Ferry (5-min walk)
