Screencastomatic Instructions

If you have not already installed Screencastomatic to Chromebook, follow these

instructions first.

1. Go to https://screencast-o-matic.com/
2. Click ‘Start Recording for free’

3. The chrome web store will open. Click ‘Add to Chrome.’

4. Click ‘Add Extension’ in the pop-up window

5. Make sure you have the presentation ready refore you start recording. To start
recording, click the blue dot icon for Screencastomatic located in the top right. Then
select to share your entire screen.
6. Select the recording options:
• Screen: This is for recording content shown on your computer.
• Webcam: This will turn on the computer camera and record you.
• Both: You can also record both yourself and the screen by selecting ‘Both.’

Make sure that the computer audio is selected and does not have a red x.

7. Then Click the red ‘Record’ button.

8. When you have finished recording, click the blue dot icon at the bottom of your
screen. If you are presenting a slide show, you will need to push the Escape button first
to exist the presentation.
9. Screencastomatic will give you options to save the file. Click ‘Save as Video File’

10. Click Save to save to your files.

11. Click ‘Done’

12. Return to the screencastomatic window and click ‘Done’

13. Click ‘Yes, Quit’

14. Return to your course. Click ‘Show Dropbox’

15. In the ‘Add Attachment’ section, click ‘Choose File’

16. Select the file to upload. Click ‘Open.’

17. Click ‘Submit’ to turn in your attachment.
