Ti 4+ species may be used to oxidise Fe2+ to Fe3+ .

2. Explain with examples the terms weak & strong electrolyte .

8. A copper-silver cell is set up . The copper ion concentration is 0.10 M . The concentration of
silver ion is not known . The cell potential when measured was 0.422 V . Determine the

13. Mention the reactions occurring at anode & cathode , during working of a mercury cell . Why
does the voltage of a mercury cell remain constant during its operation ?
14. Give an example of fuel cell & write the anode &cathode reactions for it .
