After completion of graduation, I did diploma in logistics and supply chain management,
which helped me gain deep insight into the program and career opportunities. To acquire

like to pursue higher education in the same.By doing this program, I can develop deep insights

around the world. Pursuing an MSc in Procurement, Logistics and supply chain management
helps improve my knowledge in supply chain optimization, risk management, sustainable
practices, and emerging technologies. In today's market, professionals with advanced
logistics and supply chain management knowledge navigate challenges like globalization,
supply chain disruptions, and technological advancements.
2. WHY HAVE YOU CHOSEN TO STUDY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SALFORD?
I searched for the universities that provide MSc procurement, Logistics and supply chain
management program and found University of Salford provides specialization in procurement
as well, whereas other universities which I consider does not have module on procurement
After researching deeply into the website, I realized that the standard of teaching and the
faculties are highly qualified (TEF-Bronze). The course modules are industry-focused and fit
my interests, especially procurement as a specialization. An optional internship provided by
the university is a great way to get some experience in the field of study. The course is
accredited by CIPS and CILT, which is an added advantage while searching for jobs. The
university has got a good ranking (94-Guardian 2023). Besides that, It has facilities for extra-
curricular activities through student Clubs especially launch@salford for start-ups.
Manchester, the location of the university is well connected to major places in the UK with all
amenities. The university course fee is affordable and from the website, I went through the
excellent scholarship opportunities provided by the university.
3. WHAT SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES DO YOU HAVE THAT WILL BE BENEFICIAL TO
YOU WHILE STUDYING THE COURSE?
I have completed a bachelor's in commerce with taxation. By pursuing the degree, I
understand the concepts of business, accounting, finance, and commerce operations. I
graduated from reputed APJ Abdul Kalam University while staying with my father, as my father
had been working in Indore. Studying there helped me a lot to improve my networking and
language skills. After the completion of my degree, I did a diploma course in logistics and
supply chain management which caught my interest. While doing the program I understood
the various aspects of the production of goods, its packaging, sorting, transportation, and its
way until delivery. I got practical knowledge of various shipment methods and software used
for tracking goods. Apart from that from my studies I developed better communication skills,
networking ability, and leadership skills which are important in the field.
4. WHAT SKILLS OR EXPERTISE DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN FROM STUDYING THIS COURSE?
By doing this program at the University of Salford, I can develop in-depth knowledge in
various aspects of logistics and supply chain management namely, demand forecasting,
inventory management, logistics, and supply chain management. The module project
management really caught my attention as it is a major skills required in all the fields.t. In
today's global market, professionals with advanced knowledge in procurement, logistics, and
SCM challenges like globalization, supply chain disruptions, and technological advancements
are mostly welcomed. The Master of Science program will help me with specialized learning,
improve my analytical abilities, and develop leadership abilities to survive in this competitive
environment. Apart from that, studying in an international environment helps to develop
cross-cultural understanding, and improve communication skills as well as networking. These
skills make me more competent and employable.
5. HOW WILL STUDYING THIS COURSE HELP YOU TO PROGRESS IN YOUR CAREER?

India's logistics and supply chain sector ranks among the world's largest, driven by
globalization, expanding e-commerce, initiatives like Make in India and GST, infrastructure
advancements, and heightened consumer demands. My immediate goal is to specialize in
SCM, aiming for a role as a Logistics Manager or Procurement Analyst in leading Indian
firms. Long-term, I aspire to assume leadership positions like Supply Chain Manager in
top-tier multinationals such as Accenture, Flipkart, Unilever, IBM, Capgemini, or Amazon,
contributing to India's SCM sector growth. In long terms, I would like to have my own
logistics firm. With an international degree and skills I acquire from studies I would be
more competent and my resume stands out while applying for any job anywhere in the
world.
