ინგლისურ ენაში 12 გრამატიკული დროა: 4 ახლანდელი, 4 წარსული და 4

მომავალი:

Present - ახლანდელი / აწმყო

Past - წარსული / ნამყო

Future - მომავალი

გრამატიკის აუცილებელი ნაწილი დამხმარე ზმნებია (Auxiliary Verbs) რადგან

მათი საშუალებით ჩვენ შეგვიძლია ვაწარმოოთ კითხვითი და უარყოფითი
წინადადების ფორმები.

ახლანდელი / აწმყო დროებია:

Present Simple - ახლანდელი მარტივი დრო

მაგ.: I always get up at 7 o’clock.

He usually goes to work by bus.

We don’t often read newspapers.

Do you speak English?

Present Continuous - ახლანდელი განგრძობითი დრო

მაგ.: I am writing my homework now.

Mum is cooking at the moment.

 Dad isn’t working now.

Are they watching TV now?

Present Perfect - ახლანდელი სრული დრო

მაგ.: I haven’t liked the film.

Tom has bought a new mobile phone.

Dad hasn’t come from work yet.

Have you already tidied your room?

Present Perfect Continuous - ახლანდელი სრული განგრძობითი დრო

მაგ.: I have been living in Tbilisi since my birth.

It has been raining for three days.

You have been chatting on the phone all morning.

We haven’t been doing well at school lately.

How long have they been waiting for you?

წარსული / ნამყო დროებია:

Past Simple - წარსული მარტივი დრო

მაგ.: I finished my project a week ago.

He flew to Paris last Sunday.

We didn’t go to school yesterday.

Did you wear a uniform at school?

Past Continuous - წარსული განგრძობითი დრო

მაგ.: I was driving to work at 8 o’clock.

Mum was making lunch at 1 o’clock this morning.

Were they playing football at 5 o’clock?

Dad was reading a book while the children were playing in the garden.

We were singing when somebody knocked on the door.

Grandpa wasn’t watching TV at 6 o’clock.

Past Perfect - წარსული სრული დრო

მაგ.: When I went outside, it had already started to rain.

The shop hadn’t been open by 9 o’clock.

Had you read the book about Harry Potter before you watched the film?

Past Perfect Continuous - წარსული სრული განგრძობითი დრო

მაგ.: The baby’s eyes were red. He had been crying for half an hour.

We hadn’t been waiting for long before you arrived.

How long had he been practising before he learnt to play the piano so well?

მომავალი დროებია:

Future Simple - მომავალი მარტივი დრო

მაგ.: I’ll help you with the washing up.

I don’t think she will come to the party.

 You can use it. I won’t need the laptop today.

Shall we go to the cinema tonight?

Future Continuous - მომავალი განგრძობითი დრო

მაგ.: We will be travelling by train at 9 o’clock tonight.

I won’t be having a lesson at 4 o’clock this afternoon. (My teacher is ill.)

Will you be sunbathing in Batumi this time tomorrow?

Future Perfect - მომავალი სრული დრო

მაგ.: They will have left home by 6 o’clock. / by the time you get there.

We won’t have managed to do all the homework before mum comes home.

Will you have finished the repair by Sunday?

Future Perfect Continuous - მომავალი სრული განგრძობითი დრო

მაგ.: I will have been working for this company for 2 years by February 2024.

How long will you have been studying English by the end of this year?
