Title: Workshop/laboratory Safety (Safety Regulation)

Objective: In order to aware, practice and internalize safety issues during workshop practice

In order to prevent accidents upon you and for correct and safe use of machines and training
materials during workshop practice, you have to read and understand the hazards, the safety
warnings and precautions in general and specifically related to equipment and machines and
above all you are required to strictly apply and practice all the safety rules and procedures
provided in the workshop.

Safety symbols

[Danger]
High voltage - There are high voltage electrical shock hazards. If don’t
operate as instructions, may cause serious injury or even death.

[Warning]
Potential dangerous- If don’t operate as instruction, may cause serious injury
or even death

[Caution]

Safety information related to use of the pneumatic trainer system

 Comply with safety regulations!

 Do follow safety warnings and cautions to operate to avoid any injury and damage to the
product and its related products. To avoid potential hazards, please operate as required.
 Please operate in accordance with the instruction, otherwise protection provided by the
equipment may be impaired and damaged
 The trainer workbench should be installed on flat surface and lock all the wheels
 Install the unit in a clean, dry and flat environment and property connected and removal
 Do not operate in explosive air
 Do not open the housing of the controller or module parts.
 In order not to appear special malfunction, remove the magnetic substances in order to
ensure that the product is no electromagnetic field around the controller, do not operate if
there is an error in the case of operational risk, and if you are not sure that this does not
change the device, please check professional confirmation before operation.
 Please use regular voltage and with ground protection against electric shock and other
accidents
 Open air tube and power lines may cause danger:
 Immediately turn off power supply and pressure
 Before installing and opening pneumatic valve and pipe, firstly switch off power supply
and air pump.
 Pneumatic circuit structure use diameter of 4mm and 6mm quick connection element
 Air tube need to be fully embedded into connector till the utmost end.
 Once switch on pneumatic valves, cylinder is possible to go forward or reverse.
 Do not exceed the allowable working pressure (see data table)
 When checking fault, do not manually operate electric limit switch (do using tools)
 Before disassembly the circuit, be sure to turn off the air pump and power supply
 In your practice strictly follow the procedures in the given Laboratory Practice Manuals
step by step. If you have not found correct result report to Lab Instructor before you go to
the next step.
 Finally if you have found practicing against this safety regulation, you are liable to
measures taken upon you according to the department and FTVETI’s academic (dripline)
rules and regulations.
