OIL & GAS 101

Who are we?

We are the PCO-UKMO SPE Student Chapter, a chapter whose mission is to bridge the gap
between academic and practical life for students by providing trainings and innovative
supplementary courses.

The chapter serves as a gathering place for students to meet and assist one another in their
quest to become professionals and to share their knowledge of the oil and gas industry. Our
chapter was founded in October 2017 and has strived to fulfill the SPE vision ever since. By
delivering technical and non-technical sessions, courses, projects, and training. The chapter
hopes to establish a new field of professional volunteeering work in the oil and gas industry.

These activities assist members and other students in improving their technical and
professional skills. Our student chapter was honored to receive many national and international
awards.te

What is “Oil & Gas 101” ?

This event is a collaborative effort between five student clubs/chapters from
different universities with diverse interests in the field of petroleum engineering. It
aims to bridge the gap between academic life and the professional world in the oil and
gas industry.

This joint initiative brings together students, industry professionals, and subject
matter experts to facilitate knowledge sharing, networking opportunities, and a
comprehensive understanding of the oil and gas value chain. By leveraging the
strengths and perspectives of various disciplines, this event strives to provide a
holistic view of the industry, covering technical aspects as well as practical insights.

Through a series of interactive sessions, attendees will gain exposure to the entire
spectrum of the oil and gas industry, from exploration and production to refining,
transportation, and marketing. Additionally, the event will emphasize the importance
of industrial safety practices and highlightthe latest technologies and best
practices employed in various sectors.
Our Partners:
CEC: Chemical Engineering Club.
SEG: Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
PMC: Petroleum Manager Club.
