Rationale:
The decision to establish an active team supporting Persons with Disabilities
(PWDs) in Barangay Agusan Pequeño stems from recognizing their right to organize, as
emphasized in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Philippine
Constitution. This initiative aligns with various government policies and programs
supporting PWDs' rights and participation in governance.
The initial step involves educating PWDs about their rights, laws, and protective
policies, empowering them to understand their identities and roles within the community.
PWD organizations are seen as avenues for their empowerment and essential partners
in transforming societal perceptions. It's crucial for support institutions to shift their
perspectives, viewing PWDs as collaborators in eradicating prejudice and ensuring their
inclusion in government programs and services.

Objectives:
1. To facilitate the establishment of an active PWD organization within Barangay
Agusan Pequeño, fostering unity, collaboration, and a sense of belonging among
PWDs.
2. To educate Person with Disabilities about their rights, privileges, laws, and
policies that safeguard and support them, fostering a better understanding of
their entitlements within the community and society.
