OVERVIEW
The purpose oI this report is show the progress oI evaluate the eIIectiveness and
problem oI the MicrosoIt Windows Vista and Windows 7 among students in Universiti
Utara Malaysia. We will evaluate the eIIectiveness and problem oI the MicrosoIt Windows
Vista and Windows 7 Irom Iour areas which are speed, stability and application
compatibility. We will gather the data and inIormation Irom questionnaire, interview, and
published material. The progress is smoothly and on schedule.

WORK COMPLETED
We have completed our short report and submitted to our lecturer oI Business
Report Writing, Puan Rohaiza bt Jupri on 26 August 2010. On the other hand, we have
completed our questionnaire and submitted to Puan Rohaiza bt Jupri Ior checking the
mistake we made in the questionnaire. We have corrected our questionnaire aIter that.
Besides, 50 copies oI the questionnaire have been printed and ready to distribute
the copies oI questionnaire to respondents around Universiti Utara Malaysia. We also
prepared a set oI interview question amd ready send to our lecturer oI Computer application
in Management by email. Other than that, during the semester break and holiday oI Hari
Raya, we have interviewed the staII oI Redcom computer Sdn Bhd in Ipoh, Perak. From that
interview, we gained some useIul data in our evaluation report.

WORK IN PROGRESS
We are going to distribute the questionnaire we prepared to the respondents
around Universiti Utara Malaysia in this weekend. We will also collect the questionnaire
Irom respondent on the same day. Every respondent are given around 20 minutes to answer
the questionnaire. Besides, we are going to send a email which attach a set oI question we
prepared to Mohd Tarmizi Bin Musa who are our lecturer oI Computer Application in
Management and wait Ior his reply.

WORK LEFT TO DO
AIter we collect all the questionnaires Irom respondents, we will analyze the
answer Irom each set questionnaire and try to interpret the data about the eIIectiveness oI the
MicrosoIt Window Irom diIIerence respondents. We will prepare some graphic illustrations
such as charts, tables and diagrams in our long report to explain and present the data which
gained Irom the questionnaire.
Besides, we will going to analyze and interpret the data and inIormation which we
gained Irom interview section and secondary sources. We will organize all the analyzed data
and inIormation and make use in the long report. We are going to a draIt Ior long report and
we will edit the draIt and check the inIormation to ensure all the data and inIormation are
present well. AIter that, we will prepare the complete Iull long report.

PROBLEM ANTICIPATED
We have Iaced some diIIicult in interview section to gain the data and inIormation
about Window Vista and Window 7. During the holiday oI Hari Raya, we planned to visit
Redcom computer Sdn Bhd which located in Ipoh, Perak Ior interview the manager. We
have visited Redcom computer Sdn Bhd Ior three times. However, we cannot meet the
manager oI Redcom computer Sdn Bhd because oI the manager have no Iree time Ior our
interview section. ThereIore, we decided to interview the staII oI Redcom computer Sdn
Bhd about the eIIectiveness and problem oI the MicrosoIt Windows Vista and Windows 7.
We also have a problem in interviewing our lecturer oI our lecturer oI Computer
Application in Management, to Mohd Tarmizi Bin Musa. We cannot interview him Iace to
Iace due to the his busy schedule, thereIore we decided to interview him by send him a list
oI question about the eIIectiveness and problem oI the MicrosoIt Windows Vista and
Windows 7 through email.

CONCLUSION
Although we have Iaced some diIIicult and problems when preparing our long
report, we manage to Iind out alternatives ways to settle the problems that we are Iacing.
The overall progress oI prepare the long report oI evaluate the eIIectiveness and problem oI
the MicrosoIt Windows Vista and Windows 7 among students in Universiti Utara Malaysia
are running smoothly and on schedule. ThereIore, there is no problem Ior submit the
complete long report to Puan Rohaiza bt Jupri at the due date.
