Applications invited for the Research Assistant Position

A Research Assistant position is available at the Department of Psychology, Christ University,
India, under the mentorship of Dr. Aneesh Kumar. The position will involve working on a project
funded by the John Templeton Foundation focusing on the cross-cultural study of the
development and socialization of gratitude.

The Lab aims to investigate the social and emotional development of children. We use several
methods to answer our questions, including behavioural and interview studies, experimental and
observation. The successful candidate will thus have the opportunity to profit from the lab's
multi-method approach. The Research Assistant will primarily manage a portion of the proposed
research study, including data collection and management. This individual will play an important
role in analysis, writing, and dissemination.

This is a one-year appointment (start date May 2024); however, the

Contract type appointment may be renewed for an additional two, one-year increment,
contingent upon available funding and satisfactory performance.

A MA/MSc. in psychology or a closely related field by the appointment start

date is required along with experience in conducting research. Prior
QUALIFICATION experience in cross-cultural developmental research and/or research on the
REQUIREMENTS development of gratitude is preferred. Candidates who have done a
one-year MS (outside India) with experience in developmental lab studies
will be given preference.
