Service Requested: - SERVICE REPAIR OF SSB SYSTEM

Action Taken:

1. 23rd Attend vessel in Luanda, requested to install new Sailor transceiver and controller supplied by client
2. Power on system, PA faults showed on test as client indicated and history of system.
3. Check complete system and cabling, found both TX/RX and DSC Connectors to transceiver to be corroded
4. Found cabling to be in poor condition and required to be replaced (new cable arrived later the day from client)
5. Checked connections at Coupler and antenna, all corroded and required to be serviced and refitted
6. Existing transceiver removed and new transceiver fitted, to test with existing controller.
7. Remove cabling from coupler to antenna for service, clean of connectors and points.
8. Service earth points for coupler and refitted.

1. Return 26th May , Install new cable run for DSC and spare for TX/RX, fit new PL259 connectors
2. Interfaced into new fitted Transceiver, refit to antennas and coupler.
3. Power on , insert existing MMSI details. Test to show all good. Voice over 5/5 and DSC test to CPT radio all good.

System is in good working order
