1. Item Name : Seamless Steel Gas Cylinder for Hydrogen

complete with Necking Cap & brass valve.

2. Capacity of Cylinder : 6 Cubic Metre

3. Water Capacity : 40.2 Litres

4. Hydraulic Test : 250 Kg per Sq. cm.

5. Filling Pressure : 140-150 Kg per Sq. cm.

6. Wall thickness of Cylinder : 5.7 ± 0.3 mm

7. Length of cylinder : Not less than 1200mm.

(Without valve & Cap) Not more than 1250 mm.

8. Nominal diameter : 230-235 mm.

9. Tare weight : 47.0-50.0 Kgms.

10. IS Specification : The Gas Cylinder should conform to

for cylinder IS:7285/2004

11. Valve Specification : It should be brass forged valve with left hand
thread having steel spindle. Valve should conform
to IS: 3224/2002.

12. Pain/Colour : It should be as per Gas Cylinder Rule, 1981

i.e Red for Hydrogen Gas.
13. Test Certificate required :The cylinders shall accompany following
certificates:

(i) Manufacturer’s Test Certificate duly

certified by BIS. The certificate should
include leakage test and chemical property
test.
(ii) Hydraulic Test Certificate.
(iii) Certificate for filling permission
(with Hydrogen Gas) from Chief
Controller of Explosives, Nagpur.
14. Identification : The individual cylinder should have
identification mark (i.e. Batch No. & Serial No.,
etc) Water Capacity & Tare weight embossed
on cylinder body just below the necking.
15. Delivery Schedule: Within 4 months from the issue of Supply Order
and to be delivered at 10 outstations as per
Annexure”A”(150 Nos at each stations)
