inhabitants. Although it may seem like it doesn't offer many tourist attractions, the reality is
different.
-The largest concentration of points of interest is found in the eastern part of the peninsula,
where the capital, Doha, and other important cities are located. Among the notable attractions
are Doha's impressive skyscrapers, luxurious tourist facilities, top sports venues such as the
Losail Circuit, and the modern football stadiums that hosted the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
- Additionally, there are places of interest such as the Museum of Islamic Art, Villaggio Mall,
The Pearl Qatar, Al Khor, Ash Shamal, the National Museum of Qatar, and desert safari
excursions.
-In Qatar, traditional customs are rooted in Islamic traditions (Salat, Hajj, Ramadan)
-Hospitality is highly valued, guests are warmly welcomed and offered coffee and traditional
Arabic dates.
-Traditional clothing for men includes the thobe, while women wear the abaya and hijab.
In Qatar, when walking through the streets we can see citizens making different crafts such
as Arabic calligraphy: A venerated art form across the Arab world, this graceful form of
writing gained popularity in part because of the rise of Islam. When transcribing the Holy
Quran, scholars endeavoured to adorn the text without using figurative art.
Al Khous: Al khous is an ancient weaving technique using palm fronds. Entirely dependent
on palm leaves secured from different areas around the Gulf, today the industry has almost
ceased to exist in Qatar.
Al Sadu weaving: Traditional hand-spinning and weaving, Al Sadu is still practiced in Qatar.
Traditionally a female activity, Al Sadu is closely associated with the availability of raw
materials such as sheep wool, camel and goat hair and cotton. The tools used in the
spinning and knitting process are called meghzal, el nul and elmanshaza
It is prepared with whatever you have on hand but usually starts with beef, lamb or fish, as
well as seasonal vegetables tempered with garlic and ginger.
2 — Madrouba
Madrouba is a tasty rice porridge that can be eaten with any meal. It is made with milk,
butter, cardamom and chicken (sometimes beans) and boiled for hours until it reaches the
ideal consistency.
3 — Luqaimat
A ubiquitous dessert in Qatar, luqaimat is a sweet fried dumpling flavored with cardamom
and saffron, topped with sugar syrup, reminiscent of a donut.
Emily fauna
-Although it is always more attractive to talk about its great buildings, the wildlife in Qatar is
equally interesting.
-Migratory birds from areas of extreme cold often visit the country in droves due to its arid
climate.
-Invertebrates such as spiders, scorpions, centipedes, isopods, play a crucial role in
maintaining the balance of the desert and the country's fragile living ecosystems. In addition,
different species of tortoises, lizards and snakes also inhabit the area.
