In the age of technology booming, although the application of electronic devices in education has
become more popular, using electronic devices in learning can bring some disadvantages. Firstly,
electronic devices can be a source of distraction to learners as they can divert learners’ attention
away from their studies. For instance, learners can access to inappropriate information, play
games, watch films or chat with friends. Secondly, some technical problems and viruses can
interrupt and considerably impact on the learning process. Learners may face up to the loss of
their source of valuable data in their electronic devices. Finally, slow and unreliable internet or
wi-fi connection can be inconvenient and problematic to learners. Their learning process can not
be effective as expected. In conclusion, there are some drawbacks when using electronic devices
in learning and learners should find out how to use them properly.
