National Police in The Vicinity of Cavite

Introduction

Police officers are the one who makes people obey the rules and regulations in every part of the

world. They are often seen on the street walking or in their patrol vehicle to help people and

fulfill their duty. Police officers repeated this pattern every day and put their lives for the sake of

others. Even though police officers have proper training and possess a lot of knowledge to ensure

public safety, they are still a person who experiences many things like fear, tiredness, stress, etc.

Their life is very stressful for the following reason. First is putting their life at risk every day.

Next is involvement in different events like raids, different cases, witnessing different scenarios,

and more. Stress-related outcomes also vary according to personal and environmental factors.

Personal risk factors for the development of depression, anxiety, or PTSD after a serious life

event, disaster, or trauma include prior psychiatric history, neuroticism, female gender, and other

sociodemographic variables (Green 1996, McNally 2003, Patton et al. 2003).

In this study, the researchers will use the two police stations as respondents within the vicinity of

Cavite. The study aims to determine the effects of stress on the lives of police officers in terms of

family, friends, and one’s self of the police officer.


Statement of the Problem

This study is conducted to determine the experiences of police officers related to their stress

obtained in their surroundings. The following are the problem aims to answer in this study:
