REQUEST LETTER

Respected Sir,

(Sub: Requesting to consider my situation and continue with the existing

schedule of the repeat (even semester) examinations- May, 2024)

I am Vasanth. S from V Year, B. Com, LL. B (Hons). I heard from my junior

batches that there is a collective representation of postponing the scheduled repeat
examinations that are actually scheduled from May 29, 2024 through their class
representatives.

In lieu of this, I request you to consider the problems faced by the passed- out batch
(Our Batch of 2024) with respect to the proposed request:

1. Travelling: We do understand that there are issues with respect to travelling

and booking of tickets in a short notice. But there are only few students from
each batch who are appearing for the examinations and there is more than a
week time between the scheduled date and the date of declaration of results.
On the contrary, I request you to highlight the fact that there are students from
our batch who are NRI, Other State students who are currently residing nearby
to have their repeat examinations. On a personal note, I myself hail from
Singapore and I have booked a nonrefundable flight ticket on 06/05/2024 and
waiting for more than a month in relative’s house or in any paid accommodation
to write the repeat examinations is practically impossible for us.
Also, there are students who have received their pre placement offers (PPO) in
reputed law firms who were given a time period of one month to clear all their
backlogs. In case of failure to do so will even affect their career and life too.
Having travel difficulties is far less burdening than having a hard-
earned PPO cancelled as a result of postponement of scheduled
examinations.
2. Test of Reasonability: We have faced a similar in the last academic year and
it was actually postponed owing to the fact that the time gap between the
schedule and the circular of repeat examinations was less than 5 days. This
time, the examination section has tried its best in tackling that difficulty and
have duly informed of about the repeat examinations on 21/05/2024 and the
official circular was issued on the next day itself (22/05/2024) with a
reasonable time given in between unlike the previous academic year.
3. Clash with other schedules: The subsequent examinations like the special
repeat examinations, resubmission of projects will also be postponed as a result
of the same and this would lead to further clash with the schedule already
decided and planned by the academic section.
4. Issues with respect to graduation: There are some students who have
backlogs in the odd semesters who have to clear their arrears only through the
Special Repeat Examination. In case of postponement of the current schedule,
those schedules will also gets affected and students might not be able to receive
their graduation along with their classmates in the upcoming convocation.

While deciding the request, I humbly request you to consider it on the basis of
merit rather than majority and consider the request of our batch as one
that is affecting the career, life growth and future of the students
concerned from the Batch of 2024.

Thanking You
Yours obediently
Vasanth. S
