project management and research consultant at Hiber Manufacturing Consultancy PLC and
Green Sober consultancy PLC since her PhD graduation. Moreover, she has wide and recognised
research experience in the pulp and paper production from non-wood biomass and biomass
wastes (her PhD project). Her PhD research on “Characterization, utilization, and optimization of
Ethiopian sugarcane bagasse (Saccharum officinarum L.) for pulp and paper making” contributes
to the resilience of the developing pulp and paper in the world. It investigated the characteristics,
pretreatment and valorization of sugarcane bagasse, optimizations and modeling of soda and
Kraft pulping process, black liquor characterization and indorsing environmentally friendly
pulping process. She published widely in high impact Journals including Sugar Tech (Springer),
Biomass conversation and Biorefinery (Springer) and Journal of Natural Fibers (Taylor &
Francis). Her main research interests are agricultural and industrial waste valorization, pulp and
paper, Biomass conversion, characterisation, optimization, modelling, environmental impact
assessment, climate change adaption, Industrial symbiosis and circular economy. She gained a
broad range of skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods including experimental
design, survey design, data tool development and data analysis using statistical packages like
Design Expert, Minitab, SPSS, and Advanced Excel. Moreover, she has certified in ISO/IEC
