Nougat Spitzbuben – Crispy cookies with nougat

Delicious Spitzbuben filled with nougat. But they also taste great with a classic jam filling

400 g flour

125 g ground almonds

1 pinch of salt

1 teaspoon Baking powder

1 packet of Bourbon vanilla sugar

175 g sugar

1 egg

250g butter

approx. 150 g nut nougat

Chocolateglaze

P REP ARATION
Put the flour, salt, ground almonds, sugar and vanilla sugar into the bowl of the food processor.
Add the egg and butter in small cubes and knead into a dough using the dough hook. If
necessary, finish kneading with your hands, then wrap in foil and chill for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 175 °C top/bottom heat.

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface (preferably in two portions) to a thickness of
approx. 4 mm. Cut out Christmas trees or other shapes as desired and poke a hole in the tops of
each cookie. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in the preheated oven for
9 - 10 minutes until light brown. Allow to cool.

Carefully heat the nougat. Spread a teaspoon of nougat mixture onto the bottom of the biscuits
and place the top on top. Once the mixture has cooled, decorate with a little chocolate icing if
you like.
