THE PUNJAB REGULARIZATION OF SERVICE (AMENDMENT)
ORDINANCE 2022
(VI of 2022)

Ordinance
to amend the Punjab Regularization of Service Act 2018.
It is necessary to amend the Punjab Regularization of Service Act 2018 (XV of 2018)
for providing the contract employees more chances of getting their service
regularized.
Provincial Assembly of the Punjab is not in session and Governor of the Punjab is
satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate
action.
In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (1) of Article 128 of Constitution of
the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Governor of the Punjab is pleased to make and
promulgate the following Ordinance:

1. Short title and commencement.– (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the
Punjab Regularization of Service (Amendment) Ordinance 2022.
(2) This Ordinance shall be deemed to have come into force with effect
from 01 July, 2021.

2. Amendment of section 7 of Act XV of 2018.– In the Punjab Regularization

of Service Act 2018 (XV of 2018), in section 7, after the word “regularization”, the
expression “,in three attempts,” shall be inserted.
